Shampoo will always be one of my favorite characters. I remember reading Ranma 1/2 manga cover to cover, and falling in love with the characters and the story; its surprising it took me this long to make a cosplay from the series!

I started with a dress pattern that I made for another costume and modified it to have a faux cheongsam front closure, high collar, and adjusted the seam placements. I used a butterfly print brocade for the dress, trimmed it with gold silk bias tape, and added frog closures to the front. I paired with with a ruffled white apron I made with the cutest bow in the back!

It was a quick and simple costume to make, but it was a lot of fun to wear and to photograph. I anticipate this being a new favorite convention costume for how easy and comfortable it is to wear!
